Painter Mihai Sârbulescu was born on February 23, 1957 in Bucharest. He graduated the Nicolae Grigorescu Institute of Fine Arts in 1981 at Professor Marius Cilievici's class. His works enjoy the eye and soul of art lovers and collectors from all sides. He is a founding member (1985) of the Prolog Group, joining Paul Gherasim, Constantin Flondor, Horea Paștina and Christian Paraschiv, with whom he participates in exhibitions and workshops organized in the country and abroad. He is skilled in most genres of painting, yet feels closer to landscape and composition; in his works he uses a smooth paste laid in solar range. He lives and works in Bucharest. In 2017, the Art Museum in Bacău varnished his most representative solo exhibition, where 126 of his works were displayed. He enjoys seeing art exhibitions and, when accompanied, comments them passionately. He is an avid reader of open and fictional literature. In love with music, he dedicates it time for study and listening.
