Allowed drawings

The album appeared at PIM Publishing House in Jassy and has as its authors Iulian Ghiţă and Vasile Petrovici. Vasile Petrovici restores the context in which the painter was taken prisoner and the life of the Oranki and Krasnogorsk camps. His argument is accompanied by pictures of the epoch with the withdrawal from the Don. Iulian Ghiţă (nephew of the painter) presents the professional evolution of the painter accompanied by photographs of the family. Jassy was chosen as the city of the album, because in June 1944 Ion Popescu Negreni was taken prisoner. The album is a historical document because it contains drawings of the famous painter Ion Popescu Negreni (1907-2001) during 1944-1948, when he was a prisoner in the USSR camps. Most (64) are small (6x8 cm or 4x7 cm). The others up to 125 are representatives of Romanian or foreign officers who were prisoners. All were brought by the artist when he returned (1948), either in a tassel or in his pocket. The album is called DESIGNS PERMITTED because only these subjects were suitable for drawing by the Soviets. In the "Little Encyclopedia of Art from Organs to 1950" art critic Vasile Florea mentions: "Negreni is a designer of the great ones and has been proved in the prolonged Siberian prisoner when, in the absence of colors, he used the pencil, with the contour line the most beautiful masculine nudes in Romanian art ". These drawings are presented in albums.
